In another life I should have been an event planner...

Yes, I looooove to throw parties - there is a LOT of opportunity to be creative and over the top with parties!    Hmmmmm.  Actually I used to looooooove to throw parties.  They're fewer and farther between as I get older and crankier and more of a hermit.  And my kids are older and crankier and more money-grubbing.

I'd like to think I've organized a few pretty great parties for my kids.  I am very sad to report my kids are now all pretty much teens and don't think that mom-organized and mom-run parties are so great anymore.  We used to alternate years - Connor one year, and then Shelby & Noah get parties the next year - so every other year they get a birthday party.  Now it's more like, "MOOOOOM, can't you just GIVE me the $500 you would have spent on my party?"   But, but but, I still have dozens of party ideas and themes pinned on Pinterest!!

If you scroll through my parties (parties of the past - sniff sniff) below, you may notice that it seemed we never celebrated poor middle child Noah's birthdays - it's NOT true!  He just wanted parties at away-from-home places like a laser tag place or a trampoline jump center (as if I couldn't plan something MORE fun - hmmpfh!).

I've also included a few events that I organized for my church congregation (at least THEY still appreciate me!).
